Red Sox minor lines: Mixed results

While some of the Sox are excelling, others have lived with rather more mixed results.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Pawtucket L 1-6

Box Score

Will Middlebrooks: 0-4
Jeremy Hazelbaker: 0-3
Xander Bogaerts: 1-4

Drake Britton: 5.1 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Xander keeps the hit streak going, but not the multi-hit streak. Which is a bit odd given how easy opposing hitters have found it to knock Tyler Cloyd around this year.

This is where Portland would usually play, but they had the day off. Garin Cecchini still reached base twice, though.

Salem W 8-6

Box Score

Henry Ramos: 1-4, BB
Deven Marrero: 3-5, 2 SB
Brandon Jacobs: 2-4, 2B, K
Blake Swihart: 0-5, K
Mookie Betts: 1-4, 2B
Cody Koback: 2-4, 2B, 3B
David Renfroe: 2-3, BB, SB, E

Mike Augliera: 1.2 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB

Inconsistency, thy name is Marrero. Every game is either an 0-fer or a multi-hit performance. On the whole, it's left him with an unsatisfying rookie season for a first-round draft pick out of college, but at least he's got a solid OBP and 16 stolen bases in 16 attempts.

Greenville W 2-1

Box Score

Jose Vinicio: 0-4, E

Cody Kukuk: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
Austin Maddox: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

Uh oh, Mookie Betts is gone, and now...Greenville is just...ugh...

Lowell W 5-2

Box Score

Tzu-Wei Lin: 0-3, 2 BB, SB
Williams Jerez: 1-4, K

Ty Buttrey: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Ty Buttrey with more strikeouts than walks! Huzzah!
