The Red Sox have selected right-handed pitcher Taylor Grover with their tenth-round pick in the 2013 MLB draft.

Their final selection of the second day of the draft, Grover is, unsurprisingly, a relative unkown. Hailing from Division II school USC Aiken, He's done good work there as a reliable reliever, though given the nature of college baseball and relievers, he hasn't had a ton of experience, pitching fewer than 30 innings.

Termed a "hard thrower" by the local Augusta Chronicle, Grover seems like another potential under-slot pick from the Red Sox. Looking at their current draft class, it's a bit hard to account for the entire draft budget, unless Denney required a hugely over-slot bonus akin to a high first-round pick. We'll see if they make any surprise moves in the last day of the draft, perhaps hoping to lure a player not expected to sign away from a college commitment.
