According to John Farrell, Shane Victorino is set to start a three-game rehab stint Thursday,

The Red Sox' right fielder has been out for the past two weeks, and it's not the first time he's gone missing. The all-out play style has resulted in a surprising amount of crashing into walls and other traumatic events despite Shane having only had 34 games to do it all in.

The good news is that, so far, the Red Sox have gotten by without him. The emergence of Mike Carp as a contributing bench outfielder. With a .980 OPS in 73 at bats, Carp has been one of many surprises this season keeping the Red Sox more than afloat despite all the injuries.

Still, the Sox will be glad to have Victorino's glove back in right, if nothing else. While Carp has brought a big bat so far this year, the Sox are at their best defensively when Daniel Nava's range can be masked by the Green Monster, and Victorino is able to roam right field freely.
