Jon Lester vs. the artist formerly known as Fausto Carmona Roberto Hernandez ah, screw it, Fausto Carmona.. These two players have been headed in...different directions these past five or so years. Or at least they were for a while. Then Lester hit his whole 2012 speed bump.
Now Lester has hit another speed bump, but at least for now it's a contained one. Four games, not an entire season. At some point, though, he has to find his footing again, and there's no better time than the present. After all, the Red Sox have all of about one bullpen arm, and that's Jose De La Torre.
Whatever happens, it can't be as laborious a process as last night, even if they lose.
Please, universe, do not take that as a challenge.
