Red Sox minor lines: Allen Webster puts the heat on

Allen Webster's big night in Triple-A should serve to put some serious pressure on the struggling Felix Doubront.

Pawtucket W 4-1

Box Score

Jackie Bradley Jr.: 1-3, K
Jose Iglesias: 0-4
Ryan Lavarnway: 1-2, HR, BB
Bryce Brentz: 0-4, K
Jeremy Hazelbaker: 1-3, 2 K
Brock Holt: 0-3, K

Allen Webster: 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K

Given what Allen Webster and Felix Doubront each did last night, it seems very likely that Doubront's seat is getting hot in a hurry. It doesn't help that his fastball velocity is down, giving the Red Sox an easy excuse to yank him and throw him on the DL.

Portland W 5-4

Box Score

Xander Bogaerts: 1-5, HR, 3 K
Travis Shaw: 0-4, 2 K
Michael Almanzar: 0-4
Christian Vazquez: 1-4

Drake Britton: 6 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 1 HR

Xander Bogaerts' homer streak now stands at two games. Can he make it three?

Salem L 1-10

Box Score

Garin Cecchini: 1-3, BB, K
Keury De La Cruz: 0-4, 3 K
Brandon Jacobs: 1-4, HR, K
David Renfroe: 0-4, E
Henry Ramos: 0-4, K

Coyle is out for a second straight day, but he's apparently good to go. Just a team decision to give him the second day.

Greenville L 4-11

Box Score

Cody Koback: 1-5, K
Jose Vinicio: 0-3, BB

Brian Johnson: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
Austin Maddox: 2 IP, 3 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 1 HR

Even as a piggyback reliever Austin Maddox was brutalized. He's a prime candidate for demotion when Lowell starts up.
