Starting Pitcher -- Derek Holland
Shane Victorino is not the only one making a return, with David Ortiz, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Pedro Ciriaco all making their way back in. Seeing Ortiz back is, clearly, the highlight there, particularly given the difference between Salty and Ross when it comes to facing lefties.
Jonny Gomes isn't making a return, but his inclusion is slightly surprising after Victorino's return. Comments made by John Farrell in recent weeks seemed to imply that Daniel Nava was the starter, and not in a "long end of the platoon" sort of way. We'll see in time if this is just a typical day off designed to get Gomes a game against a lefty, or something more.
