Red Sox vs. Rays Game 1 rescheduled for June

Hopefully, said day in June is drier than this Friday in April

J. Meric

The first of a four-game series with the Rays has been postponed due to rain, but it didn't take very long for the Red Sox and Tampa Bay to reschedule to a day that will hopefully be less wet, but also warmer.

This game will be part of a day/night doubleheader on Saturday, June 15, with the first contest beginning at 1:05 pm. If you had tickets for the April 12 game, those will be honored on June 15 for the 1:05 game. And hey, if you didn't have tickets yet, now you have two months to buy them.

As someone who attended Wednesday's rain fest, I can tell you I'm glad they decided to just cancel things and make it work on a (hopefully) drier day a few months down the road. You won't be able to get your $5 beer or two-for-one Fenway Franks now that the game has been lifted from April's calendar, but at least you and your non-BOGO hot dog will be dry.
