The Red Sox are back at .500 in the Grapefruit League after a 6-2 win over the Rays. Today they head to Jupiter Florida to take on the Miami Marlins, or at least the part of them that is not the Toronto Blue Jays.
Typically a road game brings little to the table in terms of talent, but the Sox aren't skimping too heavily today. Mike Napoli, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Will Middlebrooks will be making the trip, as will high-level talents Jose Iglesias and Jackie Bradley, who is close to being named the starting everything and being given dictatorial control over Boston that he might lead us to an ever more glorious future.
Sorry, where was I?

Starting Pitcher -- Jon Lester
On the whole that's pretty standard issue these days. The one thing of note is really Mike Carp in LF. He hasn't been hitting thus far in Spring, making today a much-needed opportunity to show he can both swing the bat, and play left field--a valuable skill for a team that's looking a bit thin in the outfield.
Meanwhile Jon Lester is about one successful outing away from instilling confidence in a Red Sox rotation that has inspired precious little of it in recent years. He looked slightly messier in his last outing than his first two, but managed to get results all-the-same.
