Playoffs?! You kidding me? Playoffs?!
Yes, dear reader, playoffs! Because Pawtucket actually did pretty well on the whole this season.
Arnie Beyeler for not-Bobby-Valentine!
Lowell W 9-1
Mookie Betts: 1-5, 2B, K
Deven Marrero: 2-5, 2B
Austin Maddox: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Justin Haley: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
Mike Augliera: 3.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
-Finishes with a 4.42 ERA, but also 43 K and 3 BB in 38.2 innings.
Pawtucket W 7-4
Lead Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees 1-0
Juan Carlos Linares: 1-3, HR, BB, 2 K
Bryce Brentz: 1-4, HR, 2 K
Lowell W 5-3
Mookie Betts: 0-2, BB, K, SB
-Not much to show with the bat for Betts this season, but he did take a lot of walks. If the Sox have something of a middle-infield Che-Hsuan Lin, that wouldn't be the worst guy to have in the system.
Deven Marrero: 0-2
-Marrero seemed to be hitting his stride about a month into his time with the Sox, then fell right back off. It's an uninspiring first season for a first-round pick whose value in the system will likely depend on his ability to outperform Jose Iglesias at the plate. Tricky debuts in Lowell are hardly death sentences, but as someone who wasn't impressed with the pick in the first place, consider me unconvinced.
Pat Light: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
Yunior Ortega: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
