Something strange is happening: consistency.

It's been a long time since we haven't had a constantly shifting lineup, so to see a few days where things stay basically the same is almost a shock. The man who's suffering from the change seems to be Mike Aviles, who has finally played himself onto the bench with the team wanting to give Jose Iglesias and Pedro Ciriaco time at the plate.

It's hard to say Aviles hasn't brought it on himself. After a great beginning to the year, he's been terrible at the plate, only breaking a .700 OPS in one of the last four months, leaving him with an awful 74 wRC+ on the year. There's no great need for that, especially against right handed pitching.

Hopefully it helps the Sox get into a bit of a rhythm to help end Tampa's season.
