Wednesday Red Sox Lineup: Right-Handed Hitters Flood The Matinee

Matt Harrison is on the mound for the Rangers, which means the Red Sox will of course go righty-heavy against him.

But wait, there are some unique changes to this right-handed lineup!

First off, Carl Crawford remains in the two-hole. After being pushed down in the order against southpaws for the last few weeks, Crawford's run of strong hitting has earned his a reprieve even against tough lefty Matt Hairrson.

Then there's the shortstop selection. Mike Aviles has been almost guaranteed starts against left-handed pitchers for the season-to-date. Today, however, it will be the oddly exciting Pedro Ciriaco getting the nod, batting ninth behind Ryan Lavarnway (DH) and Kelly Shoppach (C).

Meanwhile, for the second straight day, the Red Sox will be spared the Wrath of Napoli. The baseball gods are good to us this time 'round, at least in that regard.

Best of all, though, is that Will Middlebrooks is batting sixth, with no Punto in sight.
