Y'know what's really been keeping the Red Sox down in this series against the Twins? Y'know what that one missing piece was?

Nick Punto!

It's been something like 10 games since we last saw Mr. Punto, but here we are again, with Will Middlebrooks getting his first day off in a long while and Nick Punto slotting in at third base.

So that'll be fun.

The Sox will also have both Kelly Shoppach and Jarrod Saltalamacchia in the lineup once again, as Ryan Lavarnway takes a seat and Salty plays DH. This time, of course, they at least have Lavarnway as a backup in case of injury.

Otherwise it's pretty standard issue against a right-hander, albeit with Mike Aviles in the lineup again. Seems like Ciriaco didn't quite bag that starting spot just yet.
