What happens when the normally super-dependable Marc Normandin is whisked away by dental surgery? Why Jason Wojciechowski ably steps in. You may know Jason from his awesome A's site Beane Ball on ESPN's Sweet Spot Network, or his turn at The Platoon Advantage, or his terrific writing at Baseball Prospectus. Or not. In any case, Matt and Jason talk for a half hour about garbage. Total freak'n garbage. Then baseball. But once they get down to it, they get down to it. KNOWWHATIMSAYN?

Why? Because this is a baseball podcast. We talk about baseball. We talk specifically about the deadline deals that the Red Sox and the A's engaged in, looking at the finer points of the Red Sox acquisition of knuckleballer and noted non-commedian Steven Wright. Then we go over the massive mess that has become the Andrew Bailey deal. Matt is particularly proud of his five minute soliloquy on the topic. Then we move on to discussing the moves that Oakland A's GM Billy Beane made over the previous off-season, moves which continue to impact the Red Sox both directly and indirectly. Stronger than a fist to a wooden door, it's an off-the-cuff, funny ha-ha 60th Over The Monster Podcast!
