Adrian Gonzalez's Resurgence Thanks To Simplicity

You've been watching Red Sox games, or at least following along with how they've gone, so you're likely aware that Adrian Gonzalez has been turning things up as of late. He's been one of the game's best hitters -- as he should be -- during the second half, after a rough first three months of the year that saw him put up uncharacteristic numbers.

While he's hit with men on and with runners in scoring position all season long, Gonzalez just wasn't getting the job done like he was supposed to otherwise, and it dragged down his entire line. It became noticeable following the All-Star break that something was changing, though, and a discussion with WEEI's Alex Speier confirmed that this was the case.

Gonzalez has changed so dramatically in the second half that in a month's time, he's nearly erased much of the damage from the first three months of the season.
