The Red Sox will honor Johnny Pesky Tuesday night, taking the field with black armbands in memory of the late legend as they take the field against the Orioles.

The starting nine donning the armbands will include just the one catcher, now that the Sox are down to only two on the roster. The lucky man behind the plate against Wei-Yin Chen will be Ryan Lavarnway, given Salty's general inability to hit left-handed pitching.

With just the two catchers, they're also without an obvious choice at designated hitter, leaving Pedro Ciriaco to take on the role for the sixth time this year. Yikes. He'll bat second, dropping Carl Crawford all the way down to seventh in the order.
