For a second there it looked as though the Red Sox were going to start playing it a little safer in their lineups. That, with Cody Ross playing DH and Ryan Kalish out in right field, they weren't going to risk having pitchers bat by putting all of their players at one position in the lineup.

Well, so much for that. Daniel Nava is on the DL, Ryan Lavarnway is in Boston, and now if the Sox have an outfielder go down to injury Aaron Cook is gonna have some hacks.

I bet he even hits ground balls.

Kalish will be batting eighth against Rick Porcello, making his way back to the majors after a very productive stint at Triple-A. Hopefully the strong run will have him feeling it at the plate again, as his first 2012 go-around in the big leagues was pretty ugly.
