John Sickels runs SB Nation's minor league baseball website, Minor League Ball, and Friday morning he took a look at his pre-season grades for Boston's top 20 prospects, and how they stacked up against their performance to this point in 2012.

As far as the information goes, it's not much you haven't read here, if you've been following our daily minor-league updates, between Ben Buchanan's Minor Lines and my own one-level-per-day system. It is, however, always interesting to see prospect analysts explain why they hit or missed on a particular player, as well as see just who they really do like or not like, because of or in spite of their results.

It also helps that Boston has a very deep system now, and that a few of the mid-level prospects here have played at an exceptional rate in 2012 (Jackie Bradley says "hi"), likely raising the next grade that Sickels hands out. Always fun to read about future major-league players when your team has them.
