Sometimes when you're shut down and held scoreless for nine innings it can be a sign that change is needed.
Other times it means you just faced Felix Hernandez, and all that's needed is a visit from Hector Noesi.
We know that the first bit of that is true. The expectation is that the second part will prove to be as well. The Red Sox are sticking with the same lineup tonight, complete with Jarrod Saltalamacchia playing cleanup and Ryan Kalish in center (despite his struggles) with the hopes that Seattle isn't planning some sort of bait-and-switch with a super-durable Felix Hernandez and/or a clone.
Time will tell.
The Mariners are not quite so familiar, on the other hand, as John Jaso's walkoff hit (and surprisingly good season-to-date) has earned him a start behind the plate in place of the .595 OPSing Miguel Olivo. Franklin Gutierrez will also be absent for the rest of the series having been sent to the 7-day DL with a concussion after being hit in the head by a Franklin Morales pickoff throw.
