The Red Sox have enough starting pitching depth that, even with Clay Buchholz on the disabled list and Daniel Bard converting back to relief in Triple-A Pawtucket, they can utilize a six-man rotation from now until the All-Star break. Part of the reason for that is Franklin Morales, who has been used as the replacement in the rotation for Josh Beckett, despite not working as a starter since he was still with the Colorado Rockies back in 2009.

Morales has dominated in his time starting, withholding free passes, striking out more hitters than he's thrown innings, and continuing what's been an impressive year-plus with the team that acquired him last May for nothing more than a wad of cash that, in baseball, is a pittance.

Morales is the topic of our latest YouTube video, and you can watch it here, after the jump. You can access this video, and all of our others, on the right sidebar, or at our official Over the Monster YouTube channel.
