Game 16: Go For Two

The Red Sox didn't lose last night, and they actually played a game, too.

You might even say they won. But that seems unlikely somehow.

If, however, we accept that they did win, then that would mean they're going for a winning streak tonight.

To that end, they'll send Josh Beckett to the mound to take on Nick Blackburn, hoping that we don't have another bad game from one of the rotation's top-three. Because, seriously, enough is enough.

Beckett taking the mound will mean an end to Jarrod Saltalamacchia's sudden hot streak, as the picky hurler once again requires his own backstop. Of course, Kelly Shoppach has had a good year so far as well, but he'll be hard pressed to keep it up facing a righty.
