Game 13: Red Sox - Yankees On Fenway's Big Day

It's that time of year again. Red Sox - Yankees, Game 1, in Fenway Park.

Last year the Yankees actually managed to provide the Red Sox their first two wins of the series. We can only hope they fare so well in this series, as the 3-4-5 of Boston's rotation meets the 4-5-1 of New York's.

For today, that means Clay Buchholz vs. Ivan Nova. While Buchholz hasn't had a good complete outing yet, the last six innings of his last start were actually quite solid after a terrible first left the Sox down 4-0 against the Rays. Ivan Nova also had some trouble in his last outing against the Angels, but on the whole has seemed a bit scary in his first two starts, striking out 15 batters in 13 innings.

It's a new-look lineup for the Red Sox, with hot bat Ryan Sweeney getting a bump up the order as the Sox look for a revitalization.

The Sox are really, really in need of a win today, and if there's one day where they shouldn't be sending fans home without one, it's today.
