The Over The Monster Podcast - Episode 74 - The Red Sox Need Pitching!

The 74th OTM Podcast does some Happy Normandin Question Time. We talked Koji Uehara, Kevin Youkilis, Ryan Dempster, Kyle Lohse, and Jacoby Ellsbury.

Jim McIsaac

This off-season has featured so many different possibilities for our Red Sox. The Sox have been playing it relatively conservative, just three year deals please, but there have been some whispers of somethings bigger on the horizon. In the meantime, the Sox have worked around the edges looking for starting pitching, focusing on mid-rotation starters like Kyle Lohse and Ryan Dempster. Marc and I discuss where those guys would fit into the rotation and what it would be worth the Red Sox giving to acquire either of them.

We also discussed...

  • the undiscovered value of Koji Uehara who is nutsy nuts-o when it comes to not walking hitters.
  • the non-traitorous Kevin Youkilis who, as I wrote yesterday, will be the Houston Astros' DH in 2014. (Go 'Stros!)
  • What to do with Jacoby Ellsbury? (Hint: we have no idea)

Also, I get reprimanded for bringing up Carl Crawford, I say 'um' a lot, and Marc goes to the gym. It's an informative and possibly too exciting 74th episode of the OTM Podcast!
