Game 157: Into The New York Frying Pan

Consider this thread recycled!

There was a tweet earlier today. I can't find it any longer, unfortunately, and so I can't attribute it to anyone, but it went something like this:

"A gem from Lester, the Red Sox lineup wakes up, and the team rolls into the postseason on a six-game winning streak."

It's a nice thought, and one that is still possible for as bad as everything has been. But it has to start tonight. Mostly that's because it's hard to imagine the Sox starting a big streak behind Tim Wakefield withoutout some sort of precedent being set against Garcia and co. tonight.

No, Lester hasn't been amazing of late, but he's still Jon Lester, and today is a new game. He--and the rest of the team--just have to go out there and grab the opportunity.
