Matt and Marc are back and, shock of all shocks, talking Red Sox! Mostly! The 16th OTM Podcast fights through technical difficulties because that's just the kind of gritty podcast this is. Then, having dispensed with that, we (switching points of view) move on to cover the Red Sox shortstop situation and some big names in the Sox minor league system, before not covering a super secret topic which we don't cover.
Then we bring on the excellent Carson Cistulli, proprietor of Not Graphs, contributor to Fan Graphs and all around awesome dude. Together our intrepid podcasters discuss and investigate the nature of fandom, and the wonderfully named NERD, Carson's contribution to the sabermetric canon. Then we close by answering a question from Matt's mom. Then we really close by Matt dropping his computer on the floor. It's another gravitational episode of the Over The Monster Podcast!
Of Note: This is a bit different than some of our other (read: all of our other) podcasts. If you're looking for hardcore baseball analysis, look elsewhere. But, if you're looking for insightful and often hilarious commentary, also look elsewhere. No, just kidding, look right here, friend.
Also Of Note: This week's episode is dedicated to my mom who instilled in me such an ambition and drive that a mere 35 years after birthing me, I have achieved my own podcast. Well, not my own own podcast (who would listen to that?) but a podcast nonetheless. And as well all know, podcasting ain't easy. Indeed.
As always, you can subscribe to and/or download the podcast at iTunes and/or listen and/or download at our hosting site, Podomatic. Thanks as always to Kahoots for the theme music, thanks to Carson Cistulli for only charging us a nominal fee, and thanks to you for listening.
