Finally, real baseball again.
It's been just four days since the last Red Sox game, but somehow, it seems much longer. Perhaps it was the 10-1 run we were on, or the tension-filled sweep that capped it. Either way, though, it's good to have the Sox back.
Of course, it'd be better if we weren't facing David Price, leading to Darnell McDonald and Yamaico Navarro patrolling the outfield. But I guess you take what you can get.
- Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
- Dustin Pedroia, 2B
- Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
- Kevin Youkilis, 3B
- David Ortiz, DH
- Darnell McDonald, RF
- Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
- Yamaico Navarro, LF
- Marco Scutaro, SS
Andrew Miller will get the start, facing his staunchest challenge since coming up to join the Sox. He was pretty iffy last time around, even if he did hold the Orioles to three runs in five innings. Hopefully he'll be at his best tonight against the Rays.
David Price may be, well, David Price. But he's also the guy who gave up Jeter's 3,000th. So let's make him pay for that.
Go Sox!
