Game 73: Pestilence And/Or Famine

No, I'm not talking about John Lackey. I'm talking about our corner outfielders.

  1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
  2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
  4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
  5. David Ortiz, DH
  6. Darnell McDonald, LF
  7. Marco Scutaro, SS
  8. Jason Varitek, C
  9. Mike Cameron, RF

Too bad we don't have an exciting young hitter who could fill in for one of 'em, huh?

Of course, just because I wasn't referencing John Lackey earlier doesn't mean he's not in the game. Still, he's actually been decent enough lately that maybe we shouldn't be too freaked out?

And for what it's worth, Clayton Richard doesn't seem like the most impressive starter in the world, either. On the other hand, one presumably doesn't need to specify that they're not calling him famine and/or pestilence, so he's got that going for him.

Go Sox!
