Game 34: Red Sox Hope To Bring Home A Victory For Mom

The Boston Red Sox look to make their mothers extra happy on this Mother's Day 2011 as they take on the Minnesota Twins in game three of their four game weekend set. The series is currently split 1-1.

Daisuke Matsuzaka will take the ball for Boston today, as he looks to continue his solid play. Dice-K last pitched in unplanned relief during the Red Sox marathon rain delayed, 13 inning loss to the Angels earlier this week. He was scheduled to pitch Friday. Matsuzaka is a career 2-1 against Minnesota with a 2.30 ERA.

Meanwhile, Carl Pavano will be given the assignment of facing the Red Sox and getting Minnesota back on track. Pavano is a career 3-3 against Boston with a 6.09 ERA. Here is the lineup Pavano will due battle with today:
