Game 54: Crimson Stockings vs. Blank Hose

It's time for some Sox vs. Sox action, as the Red Sox return home to continue their run of AL Central opponents, taking on the White Sox in a three-game series.

The Sox will still be without Jed Lowrie tonight thanks to a sore shoulder, leaving Drew Sutton to fill in at shortstop for the night. Otherwise, though, it's the typical bunch:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B

3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B

5. David Ortiz, DH

6. Carl Crawford, LF

7. Drew Sutton, SS

8. J.D. Drew, RF

9. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C

--Jon Lester, SP

It's not quite Beckett - Verlander, but we've got a pretty good pitching matchup tonight, too.

Jon Lester will be on the mound for the Red Sox, fresh off a bounce-back start against Cleveland.

He will be opposed by Jake Peavy, who has had some trouble staying on the mound in recent years, but has been good when he's been throwing. Peavy has only made three starts so far, with his last one cut short by rain, but he seems in mid-season form, or close enough to it.
