Bad weather seems to have been the norm for baseball this year, with games postponed left and right, but things have been pretty downright ridiculous for Boston's farm system so far. Another day with three games thanks to some South Carolina rains is no surprise, but having two double-headers scheduled for Friday is. Or it will be if they get all six scheduled games in.
Pawtucket L 3-4
Che-Hsuan Lin: 1-3
Jose Iglesais: 0-4
Lars Anderson: 0-3, BB, K
Luis Exposito: 0-4, K
Coyle is, as you may have inferred, rained out after the jump.
Portland L 7-13
Jeremy Hazelbaker: 0-4, BB, 2 K
Alex Hassan: 2-5, 2B, 3 K
Ryan Lavarnway: 2-5, HR, K
-His .278/.352/.468 line in May is solid, but it seems like Lavarnway is still lagging behind expectations.
Tim Federowicz: 2-4, BB
Will Middlebrooks: 0-3, 2 BB, 2 K
Oscar Tejeda: 1-4, 2B, 2 K
Salem L 4-5
Pete Hissey: 1-5, 3 K
Kolbrin Vitek: 0-5, 2 K
-Vitek seems a remarkably streaky sort this year.
Reynaldo Rodriguez: 2-3, BB, SB
-The lack of a promotion for Rodriguez puzzles me. He's not getting any younger, after all.
Chris Balcom-Miller: 4.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 7 K
