Game 46: Red Sox Head To Cleveland To Face An Old Friend

The Boston Red Sox are looking to build a new win streak against the best team in baseball at the moment, the Cleveland Indians. This three-game stint in Cleveland will mark the second time that Boston has visited Progressive Field, so far they are 0-3 against the A.L. Central leading Tribe.

For the opener, the Red Sox will send out right hander Clay Buchholz, who will look to continue his dominance of late. Buchholz has won four of his last five, the lone game he didn't win he pitched seven scorless innings. In his career against Cleveland, Buchholz is 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA in two career starts.

For the Indians, they will counter with former Red Sox pitcher Justin Masterson, whom they acquired in the Victor Martinez trade in 2009. Since coming to Cleveland, Masterson has found his form and has become an elite starter in their rotation. So far this season, Masterson is 5-2 with a 2.52 ERA and is a big reason of why the Indians have gotten off to such a fast start. In two starts against his former club, Masterson is 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA. Yikes.

Here is the lineup that Masterson will face this evening:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B

3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B

5. David Ortiz, DH

6. J.D. Drew, RF

7. Jed Lowrie, SS

8. Carl Crawford, LF

9. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
