Game 22: Seeking .500

It could happen tonight, folks. We're just one win away from the big five-oh

-oh...

With a dot in front of it.

Yes indeed! At 10-11, by the end of the night the Sox could be at that milestone of mediocrity that seemed so very far away just a week ago.

These will be the men tasked with getting us there:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B

3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B

5. David Ortiz, DH

6. Jed Lowrie, SS

7. J.D. Drew, RF

8. Carl Crawford, LF

9. Jason Varitek, C

You will notice that Jed Lowrie is involved. This, I have been assured, is a good thing.

The Sox will be hoping for some signs of life from Clay Buchholz who, though effective in recent outings, hasn't really pitched all-that-well in any game this year.

Meanwhile, the Sox will have to hit Zach Britton.

Word around the metaphorical watercooler is that he's pretty good.

Go Sox!
