The Red Sox will look to win their third straight game as they battle the Angels in Game 2 of their four-game series. The Sox had to win yesterday in extra innings thanks to a game winning RBI double by that Adrian Gonzalez guy. Josh Beckett gave up a two-run homer to Torii Hunter in the seventh inning, but that was nearly his only mistake the entire game.
The Red Sox will look to improve to 3-1 on their West Coast road trip.
Kevin Youkilis will not be in the lineup tonight, but could be available to pinch-hit later tonight. Youk fouled a ball of his shin in last nights game and was forced to leave. Jed Lowrie will take his spot at third, batting fifth. Jacoby Ellsbury will be back in the leadoff spot tonight, after batting several games in the nine hole. Jarrod Saltalamacchia will get the start behind the plate.
The Angels will send right hander Dan Haren to the mound, looking to continue his early season success against this Red Sox lineup:
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. Jed Lowrie, SS
6. J.D. Drew, RF
7. Carl Crawford, LF
8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
9. Marco Scutaro, SS
Boston will send ace Jon Lester to the hill tonight to try and collect victory number two against this Angels lineup:
1. Peter Bourjos, CF
2. Howie Kendrick, 2B
3. Bobby Abreu, DH
4. Torii Hunter, RF
5. Vernon Wells, LF
6. Alberto Callaspo, 3B
7. Mark Trumbo, 1B
8. Erick Aybar, SS
9. Jeff Mathis, C
Will Lester set em' down in SoCal?
Or will Dan Haren continue to look like a Cy Young candidate?
