They're playing when?
It's not until you're out-of-state that you start hating the Patriots Day Game. Did you know it's not a holiday everywhere?
Actually, apparently Wisconsin is one of the few states that acknowledge it in some way, but that doesn't mean that the university is closed. Oh no, that would be ridiculous.
Oh well. No game for me, but you all can still enjoy our crazy new lineup:
1. J.D. Drew, RF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Jed Lowrie, SS
7. Carl Crawford, LF
8. Jason Varitek, C
9. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Many of you will be happy to see Crawford moved down in the order, I'm sure. J.D. Drew gets the start at leadoff in place of Lowrie because of his .560 OBP against Ricky Romero.
The Jays respond with:
1. Yunel Escobar, SS
2. Corey Patterson, CF
3. Jose Bautista, RF
4. Adam Lind, 1B
5. Aaron Hill, 2B
6. J.P. Arencibia, C
7. Travis Snider, LF
8. Edwin Encarnacion, DH
9. Jayson Nix, 3B
As for pitchers, well, we all knew this day had to come eventually...
I know what you're thinking. And it's not something I can repeat here. But hey, keep in mind, Daisuke has done a pretty good job against the Blue Jays before, so if he's going to do something, then this is the team it will likely be against.
As for the Jays, it's ace time!
Again, I know what you're thinking, but here's the thing: the Red Sox have some of those guys that Romero just can't seem to get out! Like Dustin Pedroia! And Kevin Youkilis! And David Ortiz! And J.D. Drew! And even Jacoby Ellsbury!
And he's a lefty, so presumably Jed Lowrie, too! That's a lot of names.
So who knows? Maybe the Sox can make it...three.
Or maybe we'll make him look like Cy Young and Daisuke Matsuzaka will suck. I'm going to pretend it's a coin flip to protect my sanity.
Go Sox!
