Game -4: Emergency Sox - Orioles Thread

After last night's debacle, Red Sox fans can at least take comfort in the fact that the Sox seem to be finding new, more interesting ways to lose.

So there's that.

How will they manage it today? Well, to start with, they'll be giving Brandon Duckworth the start on the mound. Jon Lester had an outing all-too-typical of a Sox pitcher these days in an intrasquad game today, allowing five runs--four earned--on nine hits despite striking out five and walking nobody.

Who knows, though. Maybe a Duckworth start is exactly what this group needs to shake the curse?

I'd be surprised, though, given this lineup.

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Marco Scutaro, SS

3. J.D. Drew, RF

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B

5. David Ortiz, DH

6. Darnell McDonald, LF

7. Nate Spears, 2B

8. Paul Hoover, C

9. Drew Sutton, 1B

Oh well. Enough negativity for now. I leave you with, as always...

Go Sox!
