Game -7: Red Sox Face Marlins With Under A Week Left To Go In Spring Training

The Red Sox will be traveling up to Jupiter, Florida today where they will face young Florida Marlins.  Yesterday marked exactly one week to go before the team heads up to Houston to face the Astros in an exhibition matchup.

It is a little bit concerning, as the Sox have lost six games in a row, but it appears more and more apparent on what the Opening Day roster will look like.

As for the Red Sox lineup today, it looks like a typical road team lineup with a few regulars mixed in:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Jed Lowrie, SS

3. David Ortiz, DH

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B

5. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C

6. Mike Cameron, RF

7. Ryan Kalish, LF

8. Drew Sutton, 1B

9. Nate Spears, 2B

On the mound for the Red Sox will be Clay Buchholz, who will be making his fourth appearance this spring.  Buchholz comes in only surrendering one earned run in 13 innings of work.  In relief of Buchholz will be Andrew Miller, Rich Hill, and Scott Atchison

As for the Marlins lineup, it's a little bit closer to what their Opening Day lineup will look like:

1. Emilio Bonifacio, CF

2. Omar Infante, 2B

3. Hanley Ramirez, SS

4. Michael Stanton, RF

5. Gaby Sanchez, 1B

6. Logan Morrison, LF

7. John Buck, C

8. Donnie Murphy, 3B

9. Javier Vazquez, P

On the mound for the Marlins will be former Yankee Javier Vazquez, who will look to prove to the Red Sox that he is a National League Pitcher.  In relief of Vazquez will be Mike Dunn, Clay Hensley, and Leo Nunez.

Looks like we will all be confined to Gamecast for this game.

Go Sox!
