Red Sox Top Prospect Voting #18: Brandon Workman By A Hair

The final score between Juan Carlos Linares and Brandon Workman is 7-8 in favor of Workman. And that only by virtue of a tie breaker (my vote, since I don't otherwise).

So why do I like Workman? One word: cutter.

Oh, sure, he throws in the mid-90s and has a good build for a starter. But man, plus cutters? That's what aces and/or closers are made out of.

Plus, he's got one of the best pitching names in the game today. And that has to count for something.

1. Ryan Kalish, OF

2. Anthony Ranaudo, SP

3. Jose Iglesias, SS

4. Felix Doubront, LHP

5. Drake Britton, LHP

6. Ryan Lavarnway, C

7. Stolmy Pimentel, RHP

8. Lars Anderson, 1B

9. Kolbrin Vitek, 3B

10. Josh Reddick, OF

11. Ryan Westmoreland, OF

12. Yamaico Navarro, SS

13. Che-Hsuan Lin, OF

14. Oscar Tejeda, 2B

15. Garin Cecchini, SS

16. Junichi Tazawa, RHP

17. Brandon Workman, RHP

Three more to go before we're done, and opening day is here. Vote away!
