The Red Sox will finally face another Major League team not named the Twins as they welcome the Atlanta Braves to the City of Palms Park.
As per usual, audio is available on MLB.com. There's no local broadcast for non-subscribers, though, so it's the mediocre excuse for Gameday for you all.
It'll be John Lackey--or what's left of him--getting the start today. Kyle Weiland, Alex Wilson, Scott Atchison, and Hideki Okajima are expected to follow, so no lead will really be safe.
The Sox should score plenty, though, since this is one of the more Major League quality lineups of spring so far:
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Carl Crawford, LF
David Ortiz, DH
J.D. Drew, RF
Jed Lowrie, SS
Jason Varitek, C
Lars Anderson, 1B
Nate Spears, 3B
Of course, the two missing men do happen to be far and away the best hitters on the team, but still. That's a lot of guys you can expect to see in Fenway with some regularity.
In recent Sox connections, Eric Hinske and Alex Gonzalez will get the start for Atlanta. Meanwhile, for those of you who will be on Gameday, keep an eye out for Freddie Freeman. He may be one of the best prospects in the game, but that doesn't mean he can take a profile picture worth a damn.
