The best part about cuts and reassignments in spring training is that it forces the teams to start bringing the starters with them on road trips. It's still not the opening day lineup, but with Pedroia, Gonzalez, Youkilis, and Ortiz, is anyone really going to complain?
1. Marco Scutaro, SS
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
7. Ryan Kalish, CF
8. Daniel Nava, LF
9. Darnell McDonald, RF
I won't take that lineup come April, but I'll take it today. Especially with Jon Lester taking the mound today after being named the opening day starter.
|2010 - Jon Lester||19-9||32||32||2||0||0||0||208.0||167||81||75||14||83||225||3.25||1.20|
The Braves will return fire with Tommy Hanson, who was no slouch himself in 2010.
|2010 - Tommy Hanson||10-11||34||34||1||0||0||0||202.2||182||86||75||14||56||173||3.33||1.17|
