When a player drafted with an ACL injury receives a $1.3 million bonus, they're usually something special. While we haven't seen Garin Cecchini play yet--haven't even had the benefit of a Cape Cod League stint like with Anthony Ranaudo--there's so much potential to dream on there that it's easy to set aside the questions.
With some impressive power to go with great bat speed, Cecchini has the potential to be a truly impressive offensive player. While his speed isn't exactly impressive and should eventually have him moving away from shortstop and over to third base, he has both the hands and arms to perform there.
While all eyes will be on Anthony Ranaudo when he makes his debut in the Sox' farm system, Garin Cecchini is not one to be overlooked.
