Road games can be pretty ugly folks, and this one is no different. Even after sending a good dozen-or-so guys down to minor league camp, the Red Sox can somehow still fill out a lineup without more than two or three regulars.
1. Mike Cameron, RF
2. Jed Lowrie, SS
3. J.D. Drew, DH
4. Jason Varitek, C
5. Ryan Kalish, CF
6. Darnell McDonald, LF
7. Lars Anderson, 1B
8. Nate Spears, 2B
9. Drew Sutton, 3B
Not even a mother could love that lineup.
Meanwhile, Josh Beckett will look to shutdown a lineup that has--as Don and Remy suggested yesterday--maybe one or two recognizable names in the whole bunch.
He had a pretty strong outing last time, so hopefully the odd-year phenomenon holds true.
Go Sox!
