New, 116 comments

The day for new Red Sox slugger Adrian Gonzalez to show us what he's made of is finally here.

After months and months of rehabbing after offseason shoulder surgery, Gonzalez will finally make his highly anticipated debut today batting third and playing first base against the Florida Marlins today. Gonzalez was cleared to play last week, and is actually making his debut a little bit ahead of schedule.

As for the rest of today's lineups, its a relatively good one; full of a lot of regulars since today's game will be played at home at City of Palms Park:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury CF

2. Dustin Pedroia 2B

3. Adrian Gonzalez 1B

4. Kevin Youkilis 3B

5. David Ortiz DH

6. J.D. Drew RF

7. Mike Cameron LF

8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia C

9. Marco Scutaro SS

On the mound for the Red Sox today will be right hander John Lackey.  Lackey has had a very nice Spring, only allowing one run on six innings of work.  Pitching in relief of Lackey will be Randy Williams, Bobby Jenks, and Matt Fox

Here is how the Marlins lineup stacks up today against Big John:

1. Emilio Bonifacio 2B

2. Dewayne Wise CF

3. Logan Morrison LF

4. John Buck C

5. Greg Dobbs 1B

6. Donnie Murphy SS

7. Matt Dominguez 3B

8. John Baker DH

9. Josh Kroeger RF

On the mound for the Marlins will be right hander Josh Johnson, the Marlins staff ace.  In relief of Johnson will be right handers Ryan Web and Tom Koehler and left hander Mike Dunn.

Game time is scheduled for 1:05 P.M. and will be televised on NESN and MLB Network, as well as a radio broadcast courtesy of 850 WEEI.

Go Sox!
