Game 104: Tigers (52-50) @ Red Sox (58-45)

Here we are, in a post-deadline world, and the Red Sox have, as far as we know, made no deals. Read what you will into that re: the rest of the season, for now, the Sox have a game to win.

Too bad it's the one guy on the mound we can be least confident will win it:

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2010 - Daisuke Matsuzaka 7-3 14 14 0 0 0 0 83.2 70 40 38 5 42 69 4.09 1.34

The Tigers counter with the inconsistent Max Scherzer:

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2010 - Max Scherzer 7-8 19 19 0 0 0 0 111.1 104 61 55 15 47 108 4.45 1.36

Even without deals, though, the Red Sox' roster looks a little bit different today than it did yesterday.

If that's not reason to celebrate, I don't know what is. Go Sox!
