The Red Sox find themselves in a very nice position tonight. The Rays lost, the Yankees lost, and the ace Jon Lester will be taking the mound tonight against a team he's never lost to.
So, let's take the series, gain a game, and inch even closer to the wild card and division lead.
|2010 - Jon Lester||6-2||11||11||1||0||0||0||72.2||50||25||24||4||32||77||2.97||1.13|
|2010 - Jeremy Guthrie||3-5||11||11||0||0||0||0||70.1||66||32||30||8||16||37||3.84||1.17|
The Red Sox will have to rely on a pieced-together lineup tonight, banged up as they are. Terry has to move Youkilis to 3rd--something he'd really hoped to avoid--with Beltre out of the lineup with a bad knee (he wanted to play, so nothing too serious), Victor will take over at first, and Josh Reddick will join Bill Hall in replacing the 4th and 5th outfielders. Oi!
