An 8:40 p.m. EST game. This sucks.
What doesn't suck is the Red Sox's recent success: Boston is riding a six-game winning streak and coming off back-to-back sweeps. Now they face the Rockies for a three-game set in Colorado. This is the Sox's first trip to Colorado since they won the World Series in 2007. You may remember that.
The Red Sox will give the Rockies' their best with Jon Lester getting the start tonight:
The Rockies send out Jhoulys Chacin. If it's OK with you, I'm just going to call him Chacin:
The Red Sox's lineup is as follows. It features Josh Reddick in right field, who was called up today because J.D. Drew is still feeling a little sore:
- Scutaro, 6
- Pedroia, 4
- Martinez, 2
- Youkilis, 3
- Beltre, 5
- Nava, 7
- Cameron, 8
- Reddick,9
- Lester, 1
The Rockies send out:
- Herrera, 5
- Helton, 3
- Gonzalez, 8
- Spilborghs, 7
- Hawpe, 9
- Olivo, 2
- Barmes, 4
- Nelson, 6
- Chacin, 1
Remember the days when Todd Helton was one of the most feared hitters in baseball? Yeah, not so much any more.
Remember to check out the great Purple Row over the course of the series.
