Gamethread: Dodgers @ Red Sox -- June 18, 2010

Obligatory Manny comment.

Now to the nitty gritty:

The Red Sox send lefty Felix Doubront to the mound. Given his super-rookie status, there's no widget available, so just rest assured that he was awesome in Double-A, and even awesomer in Triple-A.

The Dodgers counter with a rookie of their own in Carlos Monasterios. Never head of him? Neither have I.

2010 - Carlos Monasterios 3-1 16 5 0 0 0 0 42.1 38 16 14 6 14 19 2.98 1.23

Long story short, don't let the ERA fool you. This guy is hittable.

Victor Martinez gets the night off in favor of Tek. Pretty solid lineup through-and-through if you give Nava the benefit of the SSS doubt.

Lineup

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Boston Red Sox

06/18/10 7:10 PM EDT

Los Angeles Dodgers Boston Red Sox
Matt Kemp - CF Marco Scutaro - SS
Russell Martin - C Dustin Pedroia - 2B
Andre Ethier - RF David Ortiz - DH
Manny Ramirez - DH Kevin Youkilis - 1B
Casey Blake - 3B J.D. Drew - RF
James Loney - 1B Adrian Beltre - 3B
Ronnie Belliard - 2B Jason Varitek - C
Reed Johnson - LF Mike Cameron - CF
Jamey Carroll - SS Daniel Nava - LF

Manny at DH and Reed Johnson shores up their defense a good bit, but generally hit it anywhere on the right side of the field and it's got a shot to fall in. 3-4 is the obvious panic zone here, with no huge holes surrounding it.
