While the season is still a good few months away, by this point Red Sox fans can be reasonably sure of the composition of the team come opening day. Barring some dramatic trade or something for a big right-handed bat, that is.

What we don't know is what the lineup will look like on opening day. Or the day after that for what it's worth. So let's give it the old OTM try and put together our own.

Some clarifications:

  1. We're starting with the lineup vs. RHP, we'll do LHP after.
  2. I'll include both Scoot and Lowrie. After one has been chosen, the other will stop being an option. Ditto for Varitek and Salty.
  3. Darnell McDonald will also be included, while Ryan Kalish will not. Consider that my guess at the 25-man.
  4. Put it together the way you want it, not the way you think it will be.

After each selection, I'll add my take on it before the next vote. With that out of the way, let's get to it!
