Red Sox Fall & Winter Leagues Update -- 11/17/10

Arizona Fall League

The Javelinas have clinched their division.

Seth Garrison: 3.1 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 4 K -- 6.75 ERA, 14:9 K:BB, 0.33 GO/AO
Jason Rice: 3.2 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 HR, 1 BB, 5 K -- 3.86 ERA, 13:3 K:BB, 0.67 GO/AO
-After starting out solid, Rice has been beat up pretty badly these last few games. Peripherals look fine, though.
Eammon Portice: 6 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 HR, 6 BB, 2 K -- 6.57 ERA, 8:6 K:BB, 0.86 GO/AO
-That nice K:BB ratio came crashing down in a hurry.
Dan Turpen: 4 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K -- 5.91 ERA, 9:5 K:BB, 1.33 GO/AO

Jose Iglesias: 6-23, 2B, BB, 2 K -- .266/.290/.281
Ryan Lavarnway: 8-26, 2B, 2 HR, 2 BB, 3 K -- .278/.392/.430
-There's the power again. Lavarnway's first extra base hits in a while.
Juan Carlos Linares: 9-23, 2 2B, 3B, HR, HR, 3 K, CS -- .397/.423/.662
-Linares is providing that age-old dillema where we don't know if he just has no patience, or if it's just too easy to hit to justify walking at the moment.

Australian Major League

Boss and Moko have moved along to the AML, which is complete with a well-designed web page. Hallelujah? Hallelujah!

Boss Moanaroa: 4-10, 3 2B, BB, 3 K -- .400/.455/.700

Dominican Winter League

Robert Coello: 8 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 HR, 2 BB, 6 K -- 4.79 ERA, 15:9 K:BB, 0.69 GO/AO
Kris Johnson: 12.1 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 HR, 3 BB, 7 K -- 2.11 ERA, 11:6 K:BB, 1.43 GO/AO

Yamaico Navarro: 5-31, 2B, 2 HR, 8 BB, 10 K -- .261/.400/.478
-Honestly, for a slump, this isn't that bad.
Josh Reddick: 3-26, 3B, 3 BB, 6 K -- .182/.289/.273
-Reddick is enjoying a solid low-.200s BABIP at the moment...
Oscar Tejeda: 0-5, 2 K --.222/.250/.222

Mexican Pacific League

Miguel Gonzalez: 5 IP, 12 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K -- 3.38 ERA, 20:6 K:BB, 1.20 GO/AO

Puerto Rican Winter League

Henry Ramos: 3-15, HR, 3 K -- .200/.200/.400

-Ramos, my own personal sleeper pick to be awesome, has joined the show in Puerto Rico. Keep in mind this is the league where Triple-A players Aaron Bates and Jorge Jimenez have been getting their asses kicked.
