It's time for the Red Sox to prove how good of a team they really are.
The Sox have been amazing -- when they play at home. Tonight they start a three-game series with the No. 3 team in the AL East, the Tampa Bay Rays. If the Sox want any chance of winning away games in the playoffs, they might as well show they can do it here and now.
It'll be Jon Lester taking the hill for Boston. Tampa Bay counters with Andy Sonnanstine, who hasn't pitched since June 25. Sonnanstine is 6-7 with a 6.61 ERA. Batters are hitting .305 against the lefty.
