Last game before Opening Day: Lowrie goes Granny

After losing the first game in the history of Citi Field last night, the Red Sox are rebounding as I type this in the first inning against the Mets on Saturday.

Jed Lowrie just smoked an Oliver Perez 2-2 offering over the somewhat-large left field fence for a grand slam. David Ortiz, Kevin Youkilis and Mike Lowell were on base. The Sox are up 6-0 in the first inning. Perez was just pulled from the game after notching just two outs. He was also booed pretty well by his fans on his way off the field.

Daisuke Matsuzaka is on the mound for the Sox today.
