According to the Boston Globe, Josh Beckett's right elbow is fine, and if all goes well he'll pitch next Friday against the Rangers. The ProJo blog interviewed Francona, who said the following:
"Everything came out completely structurally sound," Francona said Friday afternoon. "There was some inflammation. They did a number of tests and he came out with flying colors. That was awesome for us."
Sounds like good news. Hopefully he comes back 100%. We really need Josh, both to reach the playoffs and to win them.
